This was at the heart of the Nurse Career Growth Summit 2026, hosted by Nexa Nurse on Saturday, 29 August 2026, in Lagos.
The event brought nurses and other healthcare professionals together for a day of learning, networking, career conversations, and discussions about the future of nursing.
The theme of the summit was “Expanding Nursing Careers Through Digital Healthcare and Alternative Income Opportunities.”
The summit focused on opportunities available to nurses beyond the traditional paths of working in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. One of the major conversations was about digital healthcare and how technology is creating new opportunities for healthcare professionals.

A major part of the day was hearing from experienced professionals in the healthcare industry. The summit featured Dr. Tunji Akintade as the keynote speaker. Guest speakers and panelists included Dr. Francis Adeshina, Collins Nwude, COO & CTO of Nexa Nurse, Njegwu Hope Nwakaego (RN, RM), Hamzaat Habibat (RN), Onu Chioma Rebecca (RN), and Asongu N. Zipporah (RM). Obatayo Olufunmilayo (Retired RN, RM) served as the moderator.
The discussions covered career development, digital healthcare, personal development, and new opportunities for nurses. Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, meet other professionals, and build connections.
